  • Emotional Support: The pastoral committee is the first point of contact for individuals facing emotional challenges, whether due to personal difficulties, grief, or other life events. Members of the committee provide a listening ear, empathy, and a safe space to express feelings.
  • Spiritual Guidance: at St. Marcellin Champagnat School,  the pastoral committees offers spiritual guidance, counseling, and mentorship to individuals seeking to deepen their faith or understand their spiritual journey better.

  • Crisis Intervention: the committee plays a crucial role in times of crisis. The pastoral committee provides immediate support during emergencies, coordinating assistance for affected individuals, and offering resources for coping and healing.

  • Visitation: the pastoral committees also engage in visitation to students who are homebound, in hospitals, or in other care facilities. These visits provide companionship, comfort, and a sense of community for those who may feel isolated.

  • Support Groups: the committee organize or facilitate support groups for students dealing with similar life challenges, such as grief, illness, or addiction. These groups offer a space for sharing experiences and finding strength in a community.

  • Education and Workshops: Pastoral committee also arrange educational sessions, workshops, and seminars on topics related to emotional well-being, personal growth, and spirituality.
